Nature The diverse ecosystem of Central Florida is the perfect place for renowned parks and zoos, and Orlando is host to handfuls of them. If you’re looking to enjoy the outdoors, be sure to check out the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens, Lake Eola Park, the Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge or any of the other beautifully maintained pub-lic spaces Orlando has to offer. Golf The greater Orlando area is home to over 75 of the most challenging and most criti-cally acclaimed golf courses in the nation. Several courses have opened in recent years, including a Greg Norman-designed course, The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club Orlando, an 18-hole, par 72, 7,127-yard course; and the Dave Harman-designed Shingle Creek Golf Club, a par 72, 7,213-Basketball Orlando is home to the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Magic, whose 2010-2011 season runs from October to April.
