Activeion Cleaning Solutions LLC Georgia Institute Of Technology Chooses Activated Water An impressive cost savings is realized by choosing activated water technology. I In 2003, the building services division of the Georgia Institute of Technology established a pilot cleaning program to improve employee and occupant safety along with environmental sustainability. The goal was to implement a true green cleaning program. So, the team, led by Tommy Little, the department manager, started by remov-ing toxic chemical cleaners and replacing them with more environmentally friendly cleaners. Little assigned the sprayers to each member of his staff and tracked them with a sign-in/sign-out procedure. He has since expanded the program to over 175 of his tier-one custodians. Unlike traditional chemical cleaners, the activated water devices leave no offensive odors, nor residue and kill germs in six seconds. The water is ionized for on-demand use and the rechargeable batteries maintain a charge for a minimum of two to five days. How It Works There are two key scientific concepts driving the technology in Activeion prod-ucts: Electrolysis and electroporation. The science of electrolysis is over 100 years old, and the science of electropo-ration has been around for decades.
